Deer In The Headlights

Midnight on a Saturday night..
Driving home from dropping a friend off..
One Republic blaring, such a sweet sing along.
Truely enjoying myself with the window down..
See something in the distance..
Too big to be a dog.
I slow down to see what's standing on the edge of the road..
This gorgeous animal running back into the woods..
It stops at the edge of the trees to turn around and look at me.
Tears coming to my eyes..
A beautiful deer staring back at me..
What a marvelous creature.
A truely beautiful moment..
Epic enough to be in a screenplay.
